My Excel has stopped giving me the option to format
negative numbers with brackets. My only choice is a -
sign. If I choose the Accounting format it automatically
uses a - sign instead of brackets. This has only just
started happening. Any suggestions?

Hi
AFAIK this has to do with your regional windows setting. You may check
these in your Windows Control Panel

Leigh

This is a function of your Regional Settings in Windows OS.

Start>Settings>Control Panel>Regional and Language Settings>Regional
Options>Customize>Currency>Negative Currency Format. Click on drop-down arrow
and select the ($1.1)

Apply and OK>Apply your way out.

You will have to close Excel then re-open to see effects.
