formatting issues with excel documents in emails

When sending an excel document as the body of an email, the columns are all
squished together making it hard to read the numbers. THis is happening with
office 2007

Then send as an attachment - I always used to recommend to users (as a
Systems Accountant) that sending data in the body of an email usually
resulted in some sort of formatting loss. If you /really/ want to keep the
formatting, save the spreadsheet as a pdf file and send that...
