Formatting Endnotes

In a large document with multiple chapters I have tried to have endnotes
appear at the end of each section. I created new sections (following Word
help), but for some reason, endnotes don't appear until after chapter 10!
Thereafter, they appear as they should at the end of each section. I don't
see any difference in the format before chapter 10, so what is going on?
I'll probably just make each section a stand-alone document, then start page
numbers accordingly. But I wish I could just get the endnotes to cooperate!
Thanks!

For each section where the endnotes don't appear, go to the Layout tab of
Page Setup and clear the "Suppress endnotes" check box.

Thanks you! I see now the problem. But of course now there is
another--after unsuppressing endnote, I get a warning that my margins,
columns, etc. are too wide--but they don't appear any different than in later
sections in which the endnotes are included.

Go to Format | Columns and make sure that the box for "Equal column width"
is selected (even if you don't have any columns in the document).

I checked the columns and no go--I still get the warning. I guess I'll just
cut and paste each chapter into a separate document. Thanks for your help!
