Formatting changes when form filled in

Is there any way to prevent the formatting from shifting right (adding new
lines, etc.) when a protected form is filled in?

Is this a Microsoft Access form? It's not at all clear what you're asking:
I've never seen a form "shift right", and I don't see what adding new lines
has to do with formatting. Context please?
