Formatting changes in doc between computers

When my Word 2000 document is opened on different
networked computers the formatting changes. Specifically
tabs settings that are in styles (the tabs move),
autonumbering changes numbers, and track changes will not
accept previously accepted changes.

Both computers are hooked up to the same printer, so I
don't think it's a printer driver issue.

It's not all documents opened on both computers that have
this problem, just the one.

Aside from re-creating the whole document, is there
anything I can do?

Thanks!

Unfortunately, tabs and indents in numbered paragraphs are set in the
Numbering dialog rather than the Paragraph dialog, and numbering settings
are stored in the Registry. If you have the numbering firmly linked to
styles (see
http://www.shaunakelly.com/word/numbering/OutlineNumbering.html), you should
have fewer surprises.

As for tracked changes, make sure the document is not protected in any way.
I believe there may be a form of protection that allows only the person who
made the change to accept it.
