Formatting cells

Hi,

I'm wanting to set certain cells on my worksheet to change colour if I enter
text into a certain cell on the same row. For example I would cell B2 to turn
red if any text is entered to cell A2.

Anyone help, cos I may be being a bit thick here, but this seems like it
should be really simple, but I can't figure it out.
 
Select cell B2
Format->conditional formatting...
Use "formula is" and a formula like: =Len($a2)>0
Click on the format button and choose the formatting attributes you want.
OK your way back to the sheet
