Formatting a spreadsheet in Word

I have inserted an Excel worksheet in a Word document.
Now, I would like to put a page break in the middle of
the worksheet, so that it flows better in the Word
document. Is there a way to convert the spreadsheet so
that I can format it like text in Word?

Thanks.

Hi, John,

An Excel worksheet imported into Word is an 'object', similar to a picture,
and objects can't extend across a page break. Your only alternative is to
remove the current import, and instead insert two separate objects on the
two Word pages, that point to different pieces of the worksheet.

The split will be hard to maintain if you do anything that changes the
length of the text of the Word document before the worksheets, so you may
want to do this only as the last step in polishing the document.

A possible alternative to Jay's suggestion is to delete the old Excel stuff,
highlight the cells you want, press CTRL-C to copy the cells, switch to Word
and press CTRL-V to paste it into Word. This essentially puts the Excel
data into a Word table that you can split between any rows you want, insert
page breaks, etc.

Not sure if that will work for your needs or not, but it is an option.

Thanks!
