My physical drive contans 3 logical drives C, D and E.
Windows XP Professional is installed on C and D! I want
to remove it from D. I tried Formatting D; but the System
rejected that. I did delete almost every thing except a
file named My Documents (which is empty) this file could
not be deleted. How do I format this drive? Thanks

Hi
Is your system restore monitoring the D drive too?
Control panel > system > system restore > uncheck drive
Try format again under disk management
Control panel > admin tools > > computer management > disk management >
right click on D drive > format

Hi

Boot into that partition with a Win ME Emergency Boot Disk and format from the A: prompt. If you haven't got a Win ME EBD, you can get the files from www.bootdisk.com

Hello,

Two methods. Try it!!!

One by boot disk.
One by windisk from C: Winxp to format
