Formating c drive

May seem a basic question but how do I reformat c drive
for a new installation. can I format through the dos
window or do I need to boot straight into DOS. Presume
the need to boot into dos but I can not find how. Also
the actual for mat command would be appreciated I have
not played with dos for many years. Thanks in advance

Hi Dave!
You nedd your installation disc to format. If you reboot
your pc and restart it with your installation disc, then
you will be prompted if you want to
install/reinstall/format.
