I am trying to format my C drive and reinstall XP.

I have an old floppy copy of Win98 Boot disk but there was no version of the Format command on it. I have copied "Format.Com" from the Windows folder on another XP system but when try the command it tells me it is the "Incorrect MS-DOS version".

Any suggestions?

Go to www.bootdisk.com, download Win98 bootdisk.

Why are you making life difficult?! Set the CD drive to be the first boot
device and boot from the CD.
