format

Hi,

When I create a fomular for cell, I have a format 00.0 in
the result cell. I understand is for number.

Ex: A B C

= A+B

If I entered 10 and 10 under A and B column, Iwill see
20. IF nothing there, it will show 00.0


I would like to see is - instead of 00.0 because whole
sheet will look cleaner.

right mouse click on your cells, choose format cell, choose custom & type in
the box
00.0;-00.0;-
OR
0.0;-0.0;-

This should give you what you're after

one way: use a custom format such as:
0.00,-0.00,"-"

 

[Guest]

Click on "Format", then select "Cells", click on the
"Number" tab. Select "Accounting", then use the drop down
box for "Symbol" and select "None". This should give you
what you are looking for.
