Format hard drive and reinstall XP

XP setup disk will not let me delete existing partition
and reformat before installing same version XP. Copies
setup files to hard disk and then says that this is the
reason I can't partition hard disk. Does not give any
option where to copy setup files. Use Fdisk dos commands?

yes I would try the fdisk, you could use dos of if you

have and old 98startup disk use that.
