Format hangs @ 88%

Pertinents:
Asus P4C800-E Deluxe
P$ 3.2GHz
Ram: 2GB Kingston DDR400
Video: Matrox Parhelia
HD: system: 160GB IDE, Data: Raid 0 160GB.
I am doing a clean install of Win XP Pro sp2.
I get to partition for both Raid & system HD & I can for mat the Raid (NTFS)
but when I format the IDE 160GB it stops @ 88%?
Any ideas why?
