I am going to format an external drive.
In the options, should I do a Deep format, or, is the Quick format just as
well ?
Also, in the Format Optons, Should I check "Enable Compression ??", or, does
that matter.??

Deep format takes a lot longer, but i never rely upon quick formats, so i
suggest a deep format. As for enabling compression the answer is No. Most
hard drives are large enough now not to need compression. I certainly don't
use the 'enable compression' option on my hard drives.
