Besides using the Comapre tool in Word to compare any content difference( new
- deleted text) between 2 documents, is there a way to actually see if text
has moved to a different line but keeping the same content? Thanks.

Hi jabroni-

Have you tried opening both docs then Window>Compare Side by Side with... ?

Yes but that's eye-balling it. I want a tool to actually do this. Our
company is looking at comparing 14,000 documents which are mostly over 10
pages long....we're converting from Word2000 to Word2003.

Have you tried Tools | Compare and Merge Documents? That's exactly what it's
designed for.

Sorry, I know of nothing that analyzes & compares on a line by line basis.
Perhaps one of the MVPs has come across a tool of that nature.

Good Luck |:>)
