Hi,
I have a Form (frmUpdate to tblRegister) and Subform (subfrmTransfer to
tblTransfer). I use the Form to Update records in tblRegister and Subfrom to
record the changes in tblRegister. Therefore, every change in tblRegister, I
need a new record in tblTransfer. This works OK until I go to change a
previous updated record. Infact subfrmTransfer Data Entry setting changes
from "Yes" to "No". I have removed both the LinkChild Fields and Link Master
Fields settings.
Thanking you in anticipation.

Could you restate your problem? Not sure we can help with the current
description.
BTW, removing the master/child link will leave your subform independent of
the main form.
