Form Takes a Long Time to Open when switching from code view to design view.

This bug is discussed in this article:

http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;901374

I believe I am having the exact same problem.
The problem is that I have to contact Microsoft Tech Support to get this
fix. To start with... I need to provide a credit card number, which is not
something available to me. The copy of VS.net 2003 which I am using does not
qualify for free support because it is provided by my university for all of
the students.

My question is: how can I get this hotfix?

Another comment: why do the users need to provide a credit card number when
trying to get a hotfix? those bugs are Microsoft's problem from the begining
and should be available for free. Well, maybe Microsoft won't charge my
credit card... but guess what! I do not have a credit card!

My question is: how can I get this hotfix?

Hello Shorman,
I have faced with this problem, too. Previously, this topic has been
discussed at KB830348. contacted with Microsoft Support. They sent me Hotfix
program of which name is "VS7-1.1-KB830348-X86.exe". I obtained this HotFix
free by registering my MS Visual C++ .NET Standard SDK. Your university may
obtain by contacting Microsoft Support.

Beside, I did not give any credit number and they did not request it.

Hi,

I got the official reply for you from our customer support organization.
"This customer should not have to provide a credit card or product ID to
get a hotfix case created. The customer should only need to provide the
article number so that the Technical Routers can check to make sure that
this really is a hotfix article. Once they've done that no other
entitlement should be needed.

That said, we did just hire a new vendor company to handle dev support
technical routing and we've been seeing some problems with how cases are
being created and routed which we're currently trying to address."

Let me know if you try this and still do not get a resolution. You can
send me email at my posting alias by removing the online part.
