form flickering

I have a form and on it has a combobox that is used to find a record. Also
on the form is a tab control. The tab control has the subforms for the many
in the one to many relationship. When I select a new client in the combobox,
the entire form flickers several times. Is there a reason behind this? Is
there a way to eliminate it? Or at least reduce it?

If this is Access 2003 on Windows XP, the flicker is probably caused by
passing the mouse over an unattached label or a label in an option group.
