Form calculation not working

A form in WD2002 has a small array of cells that add down to three cells. I
have a calc in each of those cells '=sum(above)' and they add up beautifully.
I have another cell with a calc that says '=Sum1+Sum2+Sum3' referring to
those bookmarks. When I put numbers in the end result, Sum1 etc work nicely
but the grand total doubles the answer, e.g 3+1+2 = 66

What am I doing wrong? (I hope it's not silly)

Thank you for your very fast and helpful answer: that reference solved my
problem at once. I only feel a bit of a nimno for not checking that area
before posting.
In passing, the MS article just refers to WD2000, so it would seem that
WD2002 (SP3) is also affected.

AFAIK, this is true of all versions of Word.
