I forgot the password to the only administator accout on
my computer. There is another restricted account on here
too and I've got the password for it. I need to get on my
administrator account but can't. Is there anyway to reset
the administrator password without buying locksmith
software? I've been seaching around for days and would
really appreciate it if some one will help me! Thanks-
Kelly

Kelly,
There are a number of ways to do this, depending on how you formatted your disk (ntfs, fat32..) dictates the approach.
Here are a couple of pointers

1. http://www.jsiinc.com/SUBD/tip1800/rh1864.ht
2. http://www.jsiinc.com/subd/tip1900/rh1984.htm
3. www.Bootdisk.co

Any approach which resets the password via an alternate install will compromise your certs any encrypted files which were set with the old password for that user. If your not using EFS or have any certificates installed then it's no problem.

Since you already have an alternate account, approach 1 should work if you can modify entries in \system32.
