A very stupid mistake. Forgot the password of the administrator account of
the computer, which is the only account in login menu. How to access the
computer now? Thanks for any advice.

If you are talking about the built-in Administrator, you have just
discovered why it is NOT a good idea to use that account as the only account
for daily use. If that is the case then look here:

If you are talking about an administrator account that you created, then
just log on as The Administrator and re-set the password. How you log on as
the Administrator depends on your version of XP. For Home, boot into safe
mode when the account will become visible. For Pro, at the welcome screen,
press Ctl-Alt-Del twice and log on in the usual manner.

To add to Gordon's reply, if you set a password on the built in
Administrator account and don't remember it or the only admin account on the
system is the built in Administrator account (not good practice) and that's
the account you have lost the password for try this utility to reset it.

Failing that, Linux-based password cracking utilities abound on the
Internet, freely available to anyone who can use Google.
