Force subreport to show with no rows?

Hi,

I've had a hunt around the NGs and I _think_ the answer is "no" (for
earlier versions of Access AFAICT), but for Access 2003, it is possible
for a subreport to show in the main report even if it returns 0 rows?
I'd like the headers in the subreport to show, which they currently
don't with 0 rows.

If not, from what I can tell, there's a convoluted workaround to copy
the headers to the main report and only show them if the subreport
returns 0 rows. I can do that, but it seems like a sledgehemmer to
crack a nut. :-)

You are right: the answer is No.

But the workaround is not so convoluted. Just move the labels out of the
Report Header of the subreport, and put them on the main report.

Thank you. I probably should have added that the footer also contained
some sums as well, but the solution was the same anyway to have a
hidden unbound text field in the subreport doing the sums (with a IIF
.... HasData...) and then grab its value in the main report. Works a
treat.
