There's a situation where someone has an e-mail machine (I, personally, do
not know anything about these machines), and someone then hooks up a basic
printer to this machine. All these folks are elderly; if you haven't guessed
already. Does anyone know the reason why the text printing off the printer
has lines marked through them? The ink cartridge is relatively new, and I
already suggested that. Does anyone have a clue?

It might be running low, or if it has not been use in a few days, it can dry
up. Put the cartridge print head in about 1/2 inch of warm water for about
10 to 15 mins. Wipe the head and try again. Repeat if no go. It is one of
the above. Mine always have done this when they are low or dry.
