I have created a document in word using XP. When I click on insert headers and footers the header box appears but not the footer box. I have tried everything but nothing works. Please help

From memory, I believe there is a button on the toolbar that switches
between header and footer, but you might get a more definite and detailed
answer in a Word newsgroup - try microsoft.public.word.pagelayout for
example.

Your first problem is that you have posted in the wrong
newsgroup- try "microsoft.public.word.newusers"' or similar.
Now when the Header was displayed, there was also a
Toolbar - the Header and Footer Toolbar.
On that toolbar, the 4th Button from the Right will allow you
to 'Switch between Header and Footer'.
Alternatively, you can use the Vertical Scrollbar to do the
same thing.

Thank you, but I had already tried switching between headers and footers, but when I do that there is no footer box only a header box. I've also tried removing my section breaks, but that dosn't help. Only way I get a footer box is on selecting different first page, but even then I can't get a footer box for the rest of the document, even the same as previous section button is not available. I'll try a word group. Many thanks for your help though.
