First, this does not _really_ protect your text from being changed. The only
true protection from that is to not let anyone read it.
Second, take a look at <URL:
http://www.addbalance.com/word/pagexofy.htm>
or <URL:
http://www.mvps.org/word/FAQs/AppErrors/PageXofY.htm> for
information on Page X of Y problems. See if any of that helps.
Finally, you can get macrobutton fields to mimic hyperlinks in documents
protected for forms. If you want to try that, write back.

I am attempting to protect a document that has page numbering, such that
the document cannot be changed by those to whom it is sent
(tools-protect-comments only with a password). When I view the document in
this mode, teh page numbers in teh footer of each section are all stuck on
the same page number. I can use teh Protece-Forms choice, but then the
bookmarks/hyperlinks in the document don't work. Is there a way to protect
the document from change (without the option of changing and renaming),
while still preserving the funtion of the footer page numbers as well as the
bookmark/hyperlink functions?
