Footenote reference appears in Arabic (now Latin) while the same reference
appears Hindi in the text. This is despite numeral option is set to CONTEXT

Huh? What version of Word?

Exactly what steps did you go through to get to the dialog where you set the
numeral option to Context?

Which number format do you want the footnotes to be using? (What do you
mean by "Arabic (now Latin)"?)

Were these footnotes created using Word's Footnote feature (usually via
Insert | Footnote)?

What language is the document? Does Word know it's that language--that is,
if you click in a Word and go to Tools | Language, is the correct language
already selected?
