Fonts on web pages have reduced in size

For some reason pages on some web sites that I view regularly are often
unreadable as the fonts have reduced drastically in size. I have no idea why
this has happened and would appreciate any help or suggestions about how to
rectify the problem.

This is my problem too, although I know it's not my text size option for
Internet Explorer (you know, on the toolbar - View > Text Size > Large,
Medium, Small, etc.) Has yours been changed? Sometimes you have to change it
to what you want again.

My problem is that the text has become outlined in black and looks
anti-aliased, all the time. On other computers, the same web sites have
readable fonts and texts, but when I view the same page on my laptop, the
font/text is all messed up. This has been quite bothersome to me for some
time, since I often code and make my own layouts for blogs and such.

Any help would be appreciated, and I hope I helped with your problem? Or if
it's like mine, we're stuck! haha

Yes that has cured it -Oh my goodness - that was SO simple and I feel really
foolish now as I looked up this problem but couldn't find anything that made
any difference previously. I hope you get your problem sorted soon - no idea
how the font size got changed on my pc but I am very glad to have it
rectified. THANK YOU!!!!!

Have you tried updating your video driver?

How do I do that?

I was just on Online Tech Support with HP, and the technician concluded it
was my internet explorer that needed to be repaired. He gave me this to type
into my Start > Run box:
rundll32 setupwbv.dll, IE6Maintenance "C:\Program Files\Internet
Explorer\Setup\SETUP.EXE" /g "C:\WINDOWS\IE Uninstall Log.Txt"

He said this would work and left the chat. However, when I put it in the
Open box exactly as he commanded, I get a "Error Loading setupwbv.dll, the
specified module could not be found" with "RUNDLL" in the toolbar thing. All
I can do is click okay.

My HP laptop came like this.

Wow, I figured it out. Thanks for the advice, Pawsforthought, and thanks
Mel!! It means a lot to me.

This is how others can fix it, if it ever happens to them:

Right-click on Desktop > Properties > Appearances tab > Effects button > The
2nd box should be checked and "STANDARD" should be selected, not "CLEARTYPE"
from the dropdown menu. Click Ok, and Apply it. Fixed.

I believe some HP notebooks come default with Cleartype selected, and that's
just wrong. Thanks for your time, guys!
