In powerpoint 2003 when I save the presentation to a floppy or burn it to a
cd it changes the font back to the default font it uses. If I save it to my
hard drive it keeps the font the way I had it. Any ideas on how to make it
keep the font I want when I save it to other media besides my hardrive?
Thanks!

Eric,

How do you know it's changing the font?

Is it when you copy your presentation to floppy or cd, then transport it to * another computer *, that the font changes?
If so it could be because the font you have used is not on the other computer.

I know it's changing it because I set it to Times New Roman and then save it
to a floppy. Then on the same computer I created it on I open it back up
from the floppy and the fonts have changed to Arial.

Does this happen on all presentations or one/some in particular?

Is it a presentation you created originally or one that you got from someone else
and further edited?

What happens if you start with a new presentation based on one of the templates
that comes with PPT? Same thing?

I ask because once in a while we see presentations where one or more slides turn
to Arial, at least in printouts and exports, for no apparent reason.

What Steve said...but also...

What happens if you create a new presentation (perhaps using the autocontent wizard), then save that to your local hard
drive.
Then, using mycomputer/windows explorer, copy the file to your removable media,
Then, using mycomputer/windows explorer, copy the file from your removable media back to your hard drive.

Does the problem go away.
