Font problem

Several days ago the default font-style of most of the headings I see
online, e.g., in newspapers, has changed to Italic or Oblique from Normal. I
wish to return to my Normal font-styles.
How can I check if there is a missing or corrupted font?

That's the third time you've asked that here, and you've asked it in
comp.fonts as well.
