While it's possible to manually install a font copying in WINDOWS\FONTS and
setting registry
HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Fonts
with its file name, I'm looking a GUI way to do it as in XPPRO.
Opening the link to the font directory in Contrl Panel: file menu in
explorer has "install a new font" that helps doing the above operation.
I haven't found nothing similar browsing components. Somone can help?
Thanks
Raffaele

RafC,

The "install a new font" GUI is a part of fontext.dll library.
So, you will have to make sure to include "User Interface Core" component.

Hi I have checked and fontext.dll is in the image in windows\system32 and
the "User Interface core" component is included. Fontview.exe is also
included, I can show the font preview but not add a new one.
Because fonts are large and I want to have a small image in Compact Flash I
want to keep preloded fonts at minimum and enable the user to load fonts
required by his application in an easy way.
Thank again Raffaele

I have checked again. The menu "add a new font" appears only opening the
font folder in Control Panel. In XP Pro it also appears opening
"WINDOWS\fonts" folder. For me it suffice to have the problem solved
