If not outright malware.

On the Win9x I set up, this never runs, because I rename away the
MSHTA.EXE engine that runs .hta files - but I've not tried this in XP.
Reasons: XP itself may rely on the ability to run HyperText
Applications, and SFP is liable to re-assert the deleted engine.

There may be other ways to kill MSHTA.EXE / .HTA, and maybe we should
look them up and get testing if .HTA comes back into malware fashion.

This is a pretty clever little turd (<snip>ww.searchdot.net) of malware
prog.
The key seems to lie files with .hta extensions.
One that I've seen come up associated with this hijack is "font.hta"

Removing this entry using Hijack This! should cure your problem:

O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [Truefonts] C:\WINDOWS\FONTS\fonts.hta]]
