I am using Office 2000 premium suite
Outlook 2000
Word 2000
Word is email editor.

I seem to be stuck with Arial 10 point as default.
How can I change this?

Someone told me to change the Word email template, but I don't know where
that template is stored (or what it is called)

Steve

Ok, first launch a new e-mail in your Word editor. Click down in th
message area, then click on the "Format" button on your menu bar.
Choose "Font." Select the font and size (color, etc.) you would lik
in this box, then click the "Default" button at the bottom right of th
dialogue box. Word will ask you if you want this to be the format fo
all new documents. Click "Yes."

You're set to go

Thank you, Emilee, for your kind response.
I tried what you said, but the "Times New Roman" font did not remain as
default. Everything stayed the way I set it for that email session, but when
I launched a new email, the font went back to Arial, color to black, and
size to 10 (no matter what I changed them to before and clicked "Default".)

The "Style" box is blank, which I find unusual. If I click on it, it drops
down showing Heading 1, 2, and 3 and a couple others. If I click "Normal"
and try to assign the "Normal" style, it doesn't work. I have to apply a
header first, then when I go back and apply the Normal style, it works.

Does that make sense to you?
(Have you ever heard of that kind of problem before?)

Boy, I guess I've got something really weird going on.'
I reformatted the disk, re-installed Windows Me, re-installed Office
2000............. And It's Still Doing That!!!! Aaarrgghhh.

I'm sure I sent a reply thanking you, Russ, but it's been over 24 hours and
I haven't seen it yet.
So here's another rousing THANK YOU!

Yes, you did. It showed up at 11:25AM EST yesterday. I think the news
servers have been bit ill lately. I've had several posts not appear that
others are clearly seeing.
And you're most welcome.
