Iam having a very silly problem. When I try to open a folder the folder
contents are displayed in a separate window, eventhough I have selected the
"Open each folder in the same window" option in "Tools -> Folder options".
How is it possible?? Should I make any registry entry!!??

Hi,
I tried the reg file from your site.. but was unable to set it right!!
Can you give me any other suggestion??
The folders still open in separate window!!

Could you type the following in the command prompt.

REG EXPORT "HKCR\Folder" "%userprofile%"\Desktop\folder.txt"

and

REG EXPORT "HKCR\Directory" "%userprofile%"\Desktop\dir.txt"

There should be two files now on your desktop call "folder.txt" and
"dir.txt". If you could paste the contents of those two file into this post
or email me the files as attachments to (e-mail address removed) if
anyone objects. Remember remove the word REMOVE out of email address.

I thought of that way but was unsure of the OP's experience in the Registry
and can be itimidating for many people. But either way works for me. :)

I hear you and appreciate your input. There are just so many issues that
can be so easily fixed via the registry vs. an ongoing 15 thread post. Hope
she/he gets it all working.
