Several of my subfolders for recieved mail (I filter received mail into
specific sub-folders) open up at the oldest message (i.e. bottom of the
list) rather than at the last message reviewed or top of the list.
How/where is this configured? (Outlook 2003)

Thanks

Display reading pane at the bottom, click on the Received column header.

After furious head scratching, (e-mail address removed) asked:

Thanks, Milly. I understood that part. I had my preview window at the
top and my reading pane at the bottom. And the Preview list was
supposedly sorted in Descending order by Date. My problem was that any
folder other than my Inbox would open with the "pointer," if you will,
focused on the oldest message in that folder (bottom of the stack), not
the newest (top of the stack). I want it to be pointing to the newest
message in the folder when I open it. I don't want to have to scroll
up to read my new mail.

I think I found my solution by right clicking on the Preview pane menu
bar and playing with the settings/selections in the "Arrange By"
submenu plus the Sort options presented. I'll find out when I get out
of Outlook and re-enter it.
