Folders in Save as not showing

We have had a problem now for about a year that seems to
appear and go away at random. The problem is when you
open a web on a webserver with Front Page and you create a
new page or open a web and save as the window that comes
up to navigate to the folder you want to save to does not
show up. As a matter of fact NO folders are shown just
the root folder. This same thing happens if you try to
insert a hyperlink and you need to navigate the folders in
the window and there are no files or folders listed except
for the current root and the current file being worked
on. Like I said this is a very random thing an we have
not found away to fix it. We have this problem in the
whole office but not always on the same clients at the
same time. We have this problem in FrontPage XP and with
FrontPage 2003. The server is a windows 2000 with IIS5
and restarting IIS does not work and sometimes reboots
don't work and since there is over 1000 pages and tons of
ASP code we do not want to reclulate the website because
it sometimes corrupts ASP pages. But we have never done
this to "fix" the problem so there has to be another
reason because when it starts to work again we never ran
recalculate. Any suggestions? pls email me direct too
thanks - (e-mail address removed)

Try periodically
1) In Windows Explorer Find and delete all FP Temp Files and all IE Temp Files
2) In Windows Explorer Find and delete all hidden *.web files

In Windows Explorer search for hidden system files (known type) or turn these on in Tools Folder Options View
FPTempDir is in your default Windows Temp Folder location
The web cache file are in
C:\Documents and Settings\%userporfile%\Application Data\Microsoft\Web Server Extensions\Cache

Still not solved here Stefan.

Similar condition as
We have this problem in FrontPage XP and with
FrontPage 2003. The server is a windows 2000 with IIS5
and restarting IIS does not work and sometimes reboots
don't work and since there is over 1000 pages and tons of

I can never hit that recalculate button....;-)

mine went like this.
root web make a folder an application. Nope that didn't help.
put it back as a folder then it will not show as a folder in the
root web only as another web at the top of the folder list
which obviously is not there anymore.

All files cleared local (I tried hard)

So it looks like the folder list definition is persisting on the server.
It would be great if it wasn't and I just missed some client state
management files but I don't think so.
Need to know how to reset it on the server.

XP & 2003 & iis5.1
