Happy New Year everyone!

When I open I folder, the folder within it are spread far apart. How can I
reduce the distance XP defaults to between folders?

Thank you.

Right-click Desktop -> Properties --> "Appearance" tab ->
Advanced -> In the "Item" box, select:
"Icon Spacing (Horizontal)" or "Icon Spacing (Vertical)
and adjust as necessary then "OK" your way out.

That changes the horizontal spacing of icons on the desktop. It does not
seem to affect the horizontal spacing of icons within a folder, which is
what I need.
