Folder size

Jim Scott

Is there something like a plug-in for My Documents which shows me the size
of folders. I know I can install ExplorerXP but it is just adding another
program for a minor property.

Folder Size Explorer Extension (open source):

I've used it for a few months and it works well.

Hi Henry
While playing with 'foldersize' as you suggested, I found that if I hold
the cursar over the folder name, a cream coloured box appears with folder
details including size. (XP pro SP2 BTW)
I thought this might be part of the package, so I uninstalled 'foldersize'
and the hover-box is still there - so I don't need the program.
Is this part of XP, I wonder?

This adds an extra tab (called "Size") to the properties window of a
folder such as My Documents and shows the size of all subfolders. I
have used it for quite a long time. Slow to load if you have lots of
subfolders though.
