I just installed Windows XP pro on one of my computers connected to my
network. When I go to access this computer from another computer I'm asked
for a login password. How do I get rid of that?

If one or more of the computers is XP Pro:

a. If you need Pro's ability to set fine-grained permissions, turn off
Simple File Sharing (Folder Options>View tab) and create identical user
accounts/passwords on all computers.

b. If you don't care about using Pro's advanced features, leave the
Simple File Sharing enabled.

Simple File Sharing means that Guest (network) is enabled. This means
that anyone without a user account on the target system can use its
resources. This is a security hole but only you can decide if it
matters in your situation.

Then create shares as desired.

Ah, I see. I accidentally turned off simple file sharing yesterday. I turned
it back on today and clicked apply. Still, when I go onto another computer
to view workgroup computers and double click the computer I'm trying to
access, I still am prompted with a password dialog box.

Make sure you have created identical user accounts and passwords on all
machines. I'm assuming that you don't have a firewall problem since you
are asked for authentication.

Alright after doing a little more digging I found that the computer wasn't
connected to the network. This makes no sense because, If the computer
wasn't connected to the network, how was I able to view it in workgroup
computers on all of my computers? I found this out because when I right
clicked a folder and went to sharing and security, I did not have the option
of sharing that folder with the network. So I had to run Network Setup
Wizard. I'm now able to get access via any computer that I want.

Just curious, you wouldn't happen to know how to delete something in the
workgroup computer? When I double click the computer in workgroup
computers, it puts printer,printer2, and printer and faxes icons in there. I
would like to get rid of those but I can't figure it out.

Icons for network resources will hang around in My Network Places for a
while even if the resources don't actively exist. I'm glad you got it
sorted; thanks for taking the time to let us know.

Where exactly are you seeing the icons for shared printers?

When I hop on another computer, go to network places-->view workgroup
computers then open up a computer on the network. It's in this location.
