I am running a Neowarre Thin Client and with XPe on it. I have group policy
set up to redirect the desktop and start menu to a given location on a a
server so that anybody who logs into XPe clients (which are in a Active
Directory OU) sees the same exact desktop and start menu. THis policy works
perfectly when applied to a PC. When applied to the thin client other parts
of the policy work but the folder redirection does not.

Is this an issue with Neoware or XPe. Neoware is pointing the finger at
XPe, but are they wrong?

Can anbyody please help?

Thanks in advanced.

I had the exact same issue and was able to come up with a slight hack
to make it work.

1. From a windows xp pro client copy fdeploy.dll to c:\windows\system32
on the xpe box.

2. export the following 2 reg keys from an XP pro client and import
them into the registry of the xpe box:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows
NT\CurrentVersion\Winlogon\GPExtensions\{25537BA6-77A8-11D2-9B6C-0000F8080861}

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Nls\MUILanguages\RCV2\fdeploy.dll
3. reboot.

Good luck.
