Folder permissions

How do you take ownership of Folders within outlook if
file permissions have been put on them previously by a
system administrator, I no longer have aceess to the sys
admin to transfer folder permissions back to the owner of
the computer, I have no access to a Permissions tab when
I right click and goto properties for the folder
 
Are you talking about folders in a Mailbox or Public
Folders?

Go to Tools | Options | Other | Advanced Options
Click on the Add-In Manager and install the following
extensions:

Emsuix.ecf
Emsuix2.ecf
Etexch.ecf

Sometimes these get left out of the install.

this is outlook 2000, and it is my own mailbox , ut it
was previously connected to a mailserver in a office, I
can no longer get access to that mail server to see if
the file and folder permissions have been set on their
