Folder Permision

I am trying to install Adobe Reader 8 on a new vista PC, but the set up
fails with message "Temp folder is on a drive that is full or inaccesable
free up space or verify that you have write permission of temp folder"
As the disk drive is nowhere near full, it must be the permission deal. But
where would the temp folder be, and how to set permissions?

save as in a dfolder and run from there. the temp folder may have *.exe
restrictions.
