folder opens to search pane

When I double click on a folder the Search Companion Window opens. If I
right click on it there are options to open etc., but at the top of those is
"search". This all happened when I was having other problems and reset
internet to default settings. Please help!!
 
Thanks for the response! I found in "Help and Support" how to fix. Went to
registry direct and reset the folder. Hope it stays fixed! Bookmarked your
link to try if not!
