tanx,

Once they've been installed there is nothing to save or use again. I
believe, after downloading but prior to installation, they are stored in
a folder - I think it's C:\WINDOWS\SoftwareDistribution. You can burn
of a copy of each update package prior to letting your system install them.

Another option is to not do the automatic updates. Go to Microsoft
Update on patch Tuesday, select the Custom install, see what updates are
needed, then download each one individually. Burn to CD, then you can
install them individually on your system. Personally that's how I do
it. I don't use Automatic Updates. I want to see what's being
installed and decide if I want it and when. Never get hardware updates
from Microsoft Update (unless it's for MS hardware). Those should be
obtained from the device manufacturer's web site.

You could run though Add/Remove Programs and note the KB numbers of each of
your updates and then go out to the Microsoft site and download them. If you
use the Add/Remove Program cpl then make sure you have Show Updates checked.

I have an HTA application that you can use if you'd like. You type in the KB
number (6 digits after KB) and it'll load the webpage it side the form.
There's more detail at the link below.
