Folder closes down by itself

I have a problem with only one folder on my computer. Everytime I try
and get to it, the computer acts like it is doing something then all
the windows shut down, things reapper but not the folder I am trying
to get to. What do I need to do to fix this problem?
 
Does the folder perhaps contain images or videos and is set to view
thumbnails? Corrupted file perhaps? if this is the case you could force
all folders to Icon view and then open the folder in question.
