I have a 4 station network - 2 machines running Win2000Pro
and 2 machines with WinXPPro. ll the hard drives are fully
shared. All are logging in as Administrators. However, the
Windows 2000 machine cannot access either of the Windows XP
machine's \\computername\c\documents and settings\all
users\application data\.... folder. This is preventing the
3rd party backup program from doing a complete backup of
all the machines on the network. Each time we get an error
stating "access denied" to the folder mentioned above. I
believe the problem is a Windows' security issue. Does
anyone have an idea of how I go about changing Windows to
allow access to this folder from another machine. Any
suggestions will be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

I have had similar problems, but with XPHome edition and
2kpro. aI discoivered the problem was caused by
the 'internet firewall' that is setup on the XP machines
(look at your LAN properties)

might be worth a try???
