how to change focus behavior

where do i go to change the focus behavior?

so i can check it to click to focus?

Hi Mel,

TweakUI/General/Focus
http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/pro/downloads/powertoys.asp

Prevent Programs from Stealing Focus - Undo (Line 66)
http://www.kellys-korner-xp.com/xp_tweaks.htm

When a window that does not have focus is updated by its program, the
default setting prevents it from becoming the foremost (top) window,
instead, it flashes in the taskbar.

HeldUp is the easiest way to stop windows from disappearing behind other
programs. http://www.johnmacintyre.ca/HeldUp.asp

Hi Kelly,

the problem I am having is not that windows will
disappear due to other programs.

The situation i have is that when i have 3 window open
example, 3 internet explore open...whenever my mouse
points at one of the pop up windows it automatically pops
that window up. Before you have to click it to pop up
the windows that are in the back ground.

I was wonder where I can change the setting, so that it
requires 1 click instead of the mouse pointer.

please help.

Use TweakUI - one of the XP Powertoys from (if you have installed XP
SP1)
http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/pro/downloads/powertoys.asp

If you have not installed SP!, the earlier version can be found at
http://download.microsoft.com/download/whistler/Install/2/WXP/EN-US/TweakUiPowertoySetup.exe

Once installed you will find it in Start - All Programs - Powertoys for
Windows XP

Its Mouse - Xmouse page has controls

Hi Mel,

Sorry about that. Check your settings here:

TweakUI/Mouse/X-Mouse: http://tinyurl.com/h8zs

Windows Explorer/Tools/Folder Options/General: Click items as follows.

Right click the Start button/Properties/Customize/Advanced/Open submenu's
when I pause on them with my mouse.
