Flushing to the disk..

Hi all,
I have an external SCSI disk connected to win2000 machine.How can I make
sure that the data I have written is flushed(written) into the disk.What
routines can be used for it.I would like to flush even the disk cache so
that everything is written into the spinning media..

Hi Deeps,

Go to Properties of the disk, select the Hardware tab, then the Disk
Properties tab and uncheck Write Cache Enabled if it is selected.

I tried it..But it is not working..
Whenever I am unchecking it, and pressing OK, it is automatically getting
checked..
ie the unchecking doesnt effect or system doesnt allow me to to uncheck it..

can anything be done for it??
