flowcharting in excel

I've just been given instructions to create a process
flowchart of one our business units. I see that I can do
this in Excel, but has anyone used Excel for this and has
it worked out ok?

Hi. I'm really not familiar with doing that in Excel. I just wanted to
mention that PowerPoint also has the capability. I see that templates can
be downloaded into PowerPoint 2003. I don't know how this would compare to
using Excel for this purpose.

I noticed that too, and I see that the same templates are
available for Excel. I was just thinking that Powerpoint
would restrict the size to one slide, but Excel would
allow more space for the flowchart.
 
You may be right about the space; I don't know for sure. May be just a
matter of preference. If you're not very familiar with PowerPoint, using
Excel will probably be easier.
