Floppy drive works in DOS, but not in W2k

I have a computer where the floppy drive works fine in DOS, but won't work
in W2k. It gives me the Disk is not formatted, would you like to format it
message. All of the drives work fine in other computers and I have already
changed out the cable. Any ideas?

Have you checked for virus infections?

The problem could be coused by directCD or inCD if you have it on
Windows installed.
