I'm running XP SP1 on a bog standard ASUS intel PC. When I
view the contents of a floppy in Windows Explorer, it will
often display the contents of the PREVIOUS floppy I had in
the drive. Not matter how many times you select View-
copy files from the old floppy on to the hard disk even
when it's not in the drive (the new one is). On top of
that, even if you physically remove all floppies from the
drive, it may still show the contents of the old floppy
and allow you to access them.
This also happens in the DOS CMD window.
Other than that the PC is perfectly stable, has no other
hardware or software issues, has no disk/floppy/system
events.
I suspect it's a problem with caching but the MS KB isn't
helping me find a solution at the moment. Any help would
be appreciated,
Ciaran.
